How do I collect donations for my veg-a-thon without using Firstgiving.com?
You can create a personal fundraising page on pledgepage.org, create a blog on blogger.com or create an entry about your veg-a-thon in your existing personal blog or web page. Once you have created your site, visit justgive.org and find the profile of the organization that you wish to collect pledges for. Click the "donate now" button on the profile page. Use this website address to create your hyperlink to the organization's donation page. Refer to the code snippets below, replacing "####" with the organization's charity id. Edit the source code of your web page to include this code.

To be notified by email when a donation is made, ask visitors to dedicate their donation as a gift in your name and to enter your email address in the field provided. Note that JustGiving.org deducts a $5 Gift Center Service Fee from donations made with their registry and wish list services.
